We are glad to inform the general public that the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) School of Nursing and Midwifery Admission Application Form for Access Course is out 2016/2017 academic session.

About The UHAS School of Nursing and Midwifery Access Course And Course Duration

Access Course in the School of Nursing and Midwifery is a six (6) to eight (8) week program to enable General Nurses, Midwives, Public Health Nurses, Mental Health Nurses and Community Health Nurses who already hold certificates or diplomas to enrol onto degree programmes (Sandwich) in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. The point of entry will be level 200.

The management of the institution University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) is using this medium to invites application from suitable qualify candidates into their School of Nursing and Midwifery Access Course Programmes 2016/2017 academic session.

UHAS School of Nursing and Midwifery – Entry Requirements

• All applicants MUST hold a certificate accredited by Nursing and Midwifery Council, Ghana.

• Applicants MUST hold certificate(s) in any of the following: Community Health Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or HATS Certificate (EN), Midwifery certificate Post – CHN and Post – EN and Post HAC Midwifery.

• Applicants MUST have practiced in their chosen fields for three (3) years or more.

• A holder of a diploma from a Ministry of Health Training Institution with a final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 2.00 or better may apply.

CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: 30^TH MAY, 2016

COURSE COMMENCEMENT DATE: 6^TH JUNE, 2016

COURSE FEE: GH₵ 1,364.00

ACCOMMODATION: GH₵ 330.00 (optional)

Applicants who meet the Entry Requirements as published are required to note that upon successfully submitting their online application and posting their details to the University, they MUST further observe the following

1. Use the FORM NUMBER as indicated on your APPLICATION SUMMARY (PREVIEW PAGE) to make the payment(s) below
   • University Charges and Fees            GH₵ 1,364.00
   • Residential Accommodation             GH₵ 330.00 (Optional )
   • TOTAL                                           GH₵ 1,694.00
2. Account Details: University of Health and Allied Sciences Students Fee Account, Number: 5011130016925 at any Ghana Commercial Bank Branch.
3. Applicants are expected to report for registration on Monday, 6^th June, 2016 and must bring along their receipts(s).
4. Applicants who wish to have a personal invitation letter can pick it up at School of Nursing and Midwifery, UHAS, Trafalgar Campus, Ho, Volta Region. (Kindly note that the self-addressed quarto size envelope posted to the University is expected to be used for admission letter(s) upon a successful completion of the Access Course.
