University of Ghana 2018/2019 School Fees Payment Procedures

This is to inform the general public and all the prospective students (fresher’s) that the below are the school fees payment guideline for Ghanaian and Non Ghanaian candidates. Please endeavor you go through it before payment.

Fees Payment Information – Ghanaian Students

Student fee payment is integral to the registration process. Students must, at least pay the minimum required, fees before they will be allowed to undertake the Academic and Residential registration.

A. Students must take note of the following when making payments:

    1. Only pay fees at University of Ghana APPROVED BANKS (listed below).
    2. All deposits at the bank should be made with a FEE DEPOSIT SLIP.

LIP.

  • All deposits at the bank should be made with CASH ONLY.
  • Always ensure the STUDENT INDEX NUMBER and NAMES are correctly quoted.
  • Always ensure the AMOUNT quoted on the receipt is the correct amount paid.
  • Ensure the account name is that of UNIVERSITY OF GHANA.
  • Keep Payments by CHEQUE (NO PERSONAL CHEQUES) can be made at the University’s Cash Office ONLY.

 

 

B. Student fees can be paid using any of the following mediums:

  1. At the bank
  2. Online using Visa card, Mastercard or Mobile Money (MTN and Vodafone)https://sts.ug.edu.gh/ugpay
  3. Cheques (payable only at University of Ghana Cash Office)

Payment Information – Foreign Students

  3. All deposits at the bank should be made with CASH ONLY.

  5. Always ensure the AMOUNT quoted on the receipt is the correct amount paid.
  6. Ensure the account name is that of the UNIVERSITY OF GHANA. Keep your deposit slips safely.
  7. Payments by CHEQUE (NO PERSONAL CHEQUES) can be made at the University’s Cash Office ONLY.

  3. International transfers (All charges relating to the transfer should be paid by the student. These will not be borne by the University).

Foreign students who pay all their fees, both academic and residential, by

31st December will receive a discount of 20% on the ACADEMIC FEES. This is NOT applicable to Visiting and Research Affiliation Students.

 

Additional Information

Economic Policy Management (EPM) Students

  1. We are pleased to inform you that you have been offered admission at the University of Ghana to pursue a one year programme leading to the award of Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economic Policy Management (EPM).
  2. The reporting date is from Wednesday, 15th August to Sunday, 19th August, 2018 after which lectures will begin on Monday, 20th August, 2018.
  3. Your tuition fee for the academic year as applicable is found below:
    • Weekend Students – Twenty-two Thousand Ghana cedis (GH₵22,000.00)
    • Day Students – Fifteen Thousand, Seven Hundred Ghana cedis (GH₵15,700)
    • Scholarship Students – JJ/WBGSP terms

This amount can be paid in full or in two instalments as follows:

    • Fifty per cent (50%) of this amount should be paid before the beginning of the Programme.
    • The remaining Fifty per cent (50%) should be paid by January 31, 2019.

  1. Please note that once you are given admission, you cannot defer the course and the amount paid will also not be refunded, should you decide to withdraw from the programme. You must, therefore, be sure you intend to be part of the programme before you make any payment.
  2. Accommodation is not in any way linked to the offer of admission. For your information, however, in addition to the residential halls and the SSNIT hostels of the University to which you may apply separately for accommodation, there are two hostels for graduate student accommodation: Valco Trust Hostel and Graduate Hostel Annex. You may, if interested in the graduate hostels, make enquiries from the Manager of the hostels.
