We are glad to inform the general public that the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Undergraduate Admissions (Top – Up) Application Form for the 2016/2017 academic session is out.
The management of the institution University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) is using this medium to invites application from suitable qualify candidates into their Undergraduate Admissions (Top – Up) Programmes 2016/2017 academic session.
The University will run Top-Up programmes for professional Nurses and other health workers during the academic year. Candidates for the Top-up programme will be admitted to Level 300 of the following programmes:
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (WEEKEND)
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Bachelor of Midwifery
- Bachelor of Public Health Nursing
- Bachelor of Mental Health Nursing
UHAS Undergraduate Admissions (WEEKEND) – Entry Requirements
- Applicants must have certification by Nursing and Midwifery Council, Ghana.
- Applicants must hold a Diploma with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 2.50 or better.
- Applicants must hold Certificate(s) in any of the following areas: SRN and Public Health Nursing (PHN), Midwifery and Mental Health Nursing / Registered Mental Health Nursing (RMN).
- Short-listed applicants may be required to attend a selection interview.
- The point of entry will be level 300.
SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH (REGULAR)
Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) with the following options:
- Disease Control
- Environmental Health
- Health Information
- Health Promotion
- Nutrition
UHAS Undergraduate Admissions (REGULAR) – Entry Requirements
- Candidates with Diploma awarded by recognized Health Institutions and Institutions under the Ministry of Health shall require an FGPA of 2.50 or better/equivalent.
- Short-listed applicants shall be required to attend a selection interview.
- The point of entry will be Level 300.
- A holder of a two year or three year diploma in any Environmental Health discipline with an FGPA of 2.50 or better may apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Environmental Health option).
- Applicants MUST have practiced in their chosen fields for three (3) years or more.
UHAS Undergraduate Admissions (Top – Up) – General Entry Requirements
To enter the Top-Up Programme, candidates must have:
- A diploma from a Ministry of Health Training Institution or Ministry of Local Government Institution.
- Certificate Holders in SRN and Public Health Nursing (PHN), Midwifery and Mental Health Nursing / Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- A Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 2.50 or better in the Diploma Programme.
- Short-listed applicants shall be required to attend a selection interview.
- A holder of Diploma in Nursing can offer BSc Midwifery.
- The point of entry will be level 300.
