Parents & Students Protest Against UNILAG New Cut-Off Mark

unilag student protest.On Wednesday 22nd of July, 2015 parents and students make a peaceful protest against University of Lagos (UNILAG) New Cut-Off Mark. After Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had meet with the Educational Stakeholders of Nigeria last week and agreed that the university cut off mark should be 180 marks.

After a week the University of Lagos UNILAG academic staff came out with another cut-off mark which is 250 marks.

The parents pronounced that the authorities of university, in liaison with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, had released a new admission procedure that prevented their children from sitting for the examination to secure admission to the university.

In view of this, the students and their parents agreed that the Registrar of JAMB Prof. Dibu Ojerinde must go.

This protest is peaceful and it take place at the gate of University of Lagos UNILAG gate for about four hours plus.
