The University for Development Studies (UDS) School of Engineering of the University for Development Studies has admitted the first batch of students since its inception in 2015.
This was disclosed by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. G. A Teye in a speech read at the 24th matriculation ceremony held across all campuses to formally admit fresh men and women into the University for the 2016/ 2017 Academic year. In all, 3,136 students out of a total of 6,897 qualified applicants who were offered admission, were matriculated.
Prof. Teye further disclosed that a change in duration of the medical programme from seven (7) years to six (6) years led to a reduction in the number of students admitted for the 2016/17 academic year.
The newly admitted students were admonished to comply with rules and regulations governing junior members and desist from anti- social behaviour such as practicing occultism on the various campuses.
The matriculation oath was administered by the Registrar, Dr. A.B.T Zakariah.
