News – UDS School of Engineering Admits First Batch of Students

uds-logoThe University for Development Studies (UDS) School of Engineering of the University for Development Studies has admitted the first batch of students since its inception in 2015.

uds-school-of-engineering-admits-first-batch-of-students-matriculationThis was disclosed by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. G. A Teye in a speech read at the 24th matriculation ceremony held across all campuses to formally admit fresh men and women into the University for the 2016/ 2017 Academic year. In all, 3,136 students out of a total of 6,897 qualified applicants who were offered admission, were matriculated.

Prof. Teye further disclosed that a change in duration of the medical programme from seven (7) years to six (6) years led to a reduction in the number of students admitted for the 2016/17 academic year.

The newly admitted students were admonished to comply with rules and regulations governing junior members and desist from anti- social behaviour such as practicing occultism on the various campuses.

The matriculation oath was administered by the Registrar, Dr. A.B.T Zakariah.
