KUMASI POLY HND & NON-HND TERTIARY PROGRAMMES Admissions Form 2015/16

I am glad to announce to the general public both national and international that the KUMASI POLYTECHIC GHANA Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes application form 2015/2016 academic session is out.

Suitable and qualified candidates can apply for any of the following programmes for the 2015/2016 academic year.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes

1. HND Accountancy (Regular/Evening/Weekend Options)
2. HND Accounting with Computing (Regular/Evening/Weekend Options)
3. HND Secretaryship and Management Studies (Regular/ Evening/Weekend Options)
4. HND Marketing (Regular/Evening/Weekend Options)
5. HND Purchasing and Supply (Regular/Evening/Weekend Options)
6. HND Computer Science (Regular/Evening Only)
7. HND Statistics (Regular Only)
8. HND Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management (Regular/Evening Options)
9. HND Building Technology (Regular Only)
10. HND Estate Management (Regular Only)
11. HND Interior Architecture and Furniture Production (Regular Only)
12. HND Mechanical Engineering with choice of options at Level 200

Options: (I) Plant (II) Production (III) Automotive and (IV) Metallurgy (Regular Only)

Entry Requirements for HND Programmes

1.  SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS

• SSSCE (A – D) or WASSCE (A1 – C6) respectively in English, Mathematics (Core) and Integrated Science/Social Studies and two (2) relevant electives.

2.  ABCE/ ‘O’&’A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

• Five (5) GBCE credit or five (5) G.C.E. Ordinary Level credits including English Language and Mathematics plus at least two (2) G.C.E. ‘A’ Level/ABCE passes.

3.  GBCE APPLICANTS

• Five (5) GBCE credits including English, Business Mathematics and Integrated Science/ Social Studies.

• Technician Part II/III Certificate holders with four SSSCE/WASSCE credit including English Language and Mathematics.

4.  DBS APPLICANTS.

• Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE Credits including English Language and Mathematics plus at least three DBS passes in relevant courses.

5.  TECHNICAL SCHOOL APPLICANTS (CERTIFICATE II)

• Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science plus any three (3) relevant trade courses.

6.  MATURE APPLICANTS

Mature Candidates:

1. Must be 25 years old and with any legitimate documentary proof which is at least 5 years old at the time of application.
2. Have at least two (2) years working experience (letter from the employer is required).
3. Pass a written examination conducted by Kumasi Polytechnic.
4. Mature applicants applying for HND Dispensing Technology should have relevant hospital/industrial experience with ‘O’ Level/WASSCE/SSSCE pure science background (Chemistry and Biology) as well as credits in English and Mathematics (core).

 

NON-HND TERTIARY PROGRAMMES

1. Electrical Engineering Technicians Part III
2. Mechanical Engineering Technicians Part III
3. Motor Vehicle Technicians Part III
4. Construction Technicians Course Part III.

Entry Requirement for Non-HND Full Time Programmes
Technician Part II Certificate

 

COST OF APPLICATION FORM

HND Applicants

Ghana Cedi- GH ¢120.00

Foreign Applicants – US $50.00 (Nigeria Naira – ₦ 9,950.00)

NOTE TO FOREIGN APPLICANTS: Payment for an application can be deposited into any ECOBANK Account No. 00452014470095301 in any African country. A scanned copy of the payment slip should be emailed to: info@kpoly.edu.gh for the processing of the application.

A card with an application code and admission requirement Brochure can be obtained from the following places.

7. Technical Examinations Unit, Accra next to Kimbu Senior High Technical School.

Payment for the Application should be by Bank Draft payable to the Rector, Kumasi Polytechnic.

All applicants are required to apply online (http://forms.kpoly.edu.gh). They are also required to download and print completed online application form and attach two (2) passport pictures, two (2) photocopies of relevant documents/certificates and payment voucher to be submitted to the address below.
