KUMASI POLY B.TECH DEGREE PROGRAMMES Admissions Form 2015/16

I am glad to announce to the general public both national and international that the KUMASI POLYTECHIC GHANA B. TECH DEGREE PROGRAMMES application form 2015/2016 academic session is out.

Suitable and qualified candidates can apply for any of the following programmes for the 2015/2016 academic year.

B.TECH DEGREE PROGRAMMES

1. Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering (two-year top-up)
2. Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering (one and half years top-up)
3. Bachelor of Technology in Accounting with Computing (one and half years top-up)
4. Bachelor of Technology in Procurement Management (one and half years top-up)
5. Bachelor of Technology in Building Technology (one and half years top-up)
6. Bachelor of Technology in Estate Management (two-year top-up)
7. Bachelor of Technology in Entrepreneurship & Finance (one and half years top-up)

Entry Requirements for B.Tech Degree Programmes

1.  Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering (two-year top-up: regular, evening and weekend options)

• Candidates must have HND (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) in Civil Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years working experience.
• Second Class Lower Division holders will have to attend an interview.

2.  Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering (one and half year top-up)

• Holders of HND Chemical Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years post-graduation industrial experience
• Applicants with First Class and Second Class Upper Division would be admitted without an interview.
• Applicants with Second Class Lower Division would be required to pass an interview.
• Applicants with other Engineering and Chemistry backgrounds would be required to take relevant Chemical Engineering and Chemistry Courses as prerequisites.

3.  Bachelor of Technology in Accounting with Computing ( one and half year top-up-  Regular, Evening & weekend options)

• Holders of HND Accountancy Certificate with a minimum of two (2) years working experience. OR
• ACCA and ICA holders with passes in six (6) or more subjects.

4.  Bachelor of Technology in Procurement Management: (Regular, Evening & Weekend Options)

• Holders of HND Purchasing and Supply (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification working experience.
• Applicants with Diploma in Procurement & Supply from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS UK) qualification may apply.
• HND Graduates from other fields or disciplines with a qualification not lower than a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division with at least five (5) years working experience in procurement related fields.
• First Degree Graduates from other fields or discipline may apply.

5.  Bachelor of Technology in Building Technology (one and half years top-up : Regular, Evening and Weekend Options)

• Candidates must have HND (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) in Building Technology with a minimum of two (2) years working experience.
• Second Class Lower Division holders will have to attend an interview.
• Holders of CTC II Final (old scheme) or CTC III Final (new scheme) with at least passes in all the four major components. Credit in English Language and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level or SSSCE/WASSCE Level shall be required.

6.  Bachelor of Technology in Estate Management: (Regular, Evening & Weekend Options)

• Holders of HND Estate Management (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification working experience.
• Applicants with Second Class Lower division would be required to attend an interview.

7.  Bachelor of Technology in Entrepreneurship & Finance: (Weekend Option only)

• Holders of HND Entrepreneurship (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years working experience.

 

 COST OF APPLICATION FORM

Bachelor of Technology Applicants  

Ghana Cedi- GH ¢120.00

Foreign Applicants – US $50.00 (Nigeria Naira – ₦ 9,950.00)

NOTE TO FOREIGN APPLICANTS: Payment for an application can be deposited into any ECOBANK Account No. 00452014470095301 in any African country. A scanned copy of the payment slip should be emailed to: info@kpoly.edu.gh for the processing of the application.

A card with an application code and admission requirement Brochure can be obtained from the following places.

2. All Regional Post Offices
3. All Zenith Bank Branches
4. All Ecobank Branches
5. All UBA Branches
6. All HFC Bank branches
7. Technical Examinations Unit, Accra next to Kimbu Senior High Technical School.

Payment for the Application should be by Bank Draft payable to the Rector, Kumasi Polytechnic.

All applicants are required to apply online (http://forms.kpoly.edu.gh). They are also required to download and print completed online application form and attach two (2) passport pictures, two (2) photocopies of relevant documents/certificates and payment voucher to be submitted to the address below.
