How to Apply for NDDC Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme – 2016

We are glad to inform the general public that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme for is out for the year 2016.

Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is using this medium to invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme 2016.

The Scheme is for suitably qualified applicants with relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s Degrees from recognized Universities in the following professional disciplines:

1. Engineering.
   ii. Medical Sciences (M.Sc. Public Health excluded).
   iii. Computer Science / Technology.
   iv. Geology.
   v. Geosciences.
   vi. Environmental Sciences.
   vii. Agriculture.
   viii. Environmental or Gas / Oil Law.
   ix. Project Management.

NOTE: Applicants must have gained Post Graduate admission into a recognized university abroad.

NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Requirements

1. First Degree with minimum of 2^nd Class Lower Division for those wishing to undertake a Master’s Degree programme and a good Master’s Degree for PhD candidates from a recognized university.
2. Interested applicants must have gained admission for a Post Graduate Programme in any of the listed disciplines above, in a foreign University.
3. Interested applicants who have already enrolled in overseas’ universities are NOT eligible to apply.
4. Guarantor’s written consent of good conduct of the applicant from any of the following persons from the applicant’s community/clan,
   1. Member of National Assembly
   2. Chairman of the LGA.
   3. First class traditional ruler,
   4. High Court judge
5. Persons with evidence of cult membership or criminal record shall not be considered for the award.
6. Interested applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC).
7. All interested applicants must have a valid Admission Letter from a Foreign University.

How to Apply for NDDC Post – Graduates Scholarship

1. Application must be made on-line at the Commission’s website: (www.nddc.gov.ng) with the following attachments:
   • Recent passport photograph
   • Local Government identification letter.
   • Post Graduate (PG) admission letter from Overseas University.
   • Relevant Degrees from recognized University.
   • N.Y.S.C Discharge Certificate.
2. Successfully completed application form will be assigned a registration number automatically.
3. Print the hard copy of the on-line generated acknowledgement for ease of reference.

Note: All shortlisted applicants will be posted on NDDC website, (nddc.gov.ng )

All completed applications must be submitted on or before Friday, April 22, 2016.
