The management of the institution Mountain Top University (MTU) is using this medium to invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the foundation programmes 2017/2018.
About Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB)
Obtaining qualifying grades lead to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) Certificate which enables successful candidates – after the examination administered by JUPEB – to gain Direct Entry admission into 200 Level (Undergraduate Programme) in Mountain Top University and other JUPEB AFFILIATED UNIVERSITIES.

Mountain Top University Pre-Degree & JUPEB Admission Requirements
Pre-Degree
- Candidates must possess credit pass in at least three (3) O’ level subjects.
- Important Note: The Pre-Degree Programme is totally and completely a preparatory programme. Therefore, for a candidate to be eligible for admission consideration into 100 Level of any course in Mountain Top University, he/she must score a required mark in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for 2018/2019 Session and must also have obtained five (5) O’ Level Credits at not more than two (2) sittings for presentation at the time of 2018/2019 Admission Exercise.
- UTME score is not required for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme, however, all successful candidates will be required to register for and take the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) into programmes of their choice from the list provided above. The programme is fully residential.
Foundation Programme
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at no more than two sittings. Candidates will be prepared to write and pass the Joint Universities’ Preliminary Examination (JUPEB) within a Session after which they will be eligible for admission consideration as Direct Entry candidates into 200 Level for the 2018/2019 academic session. The programme is fully residential.
How to Apply for Mountain Top University Pre-Degree & JUPEB Admission
METHOD OF APPLICATION
- Visit mtu.edu.ng (Click on “Student” and select “Prospective Student” from the dropdown menu). Click on “Start a Fresh Application”
- Enter your basic details (Name, Active Mobile Phone Number and E-mail Address) and Click on “Continue”
- Download and print your Payment Voucher.
- Go to any of the under-listed banks with the printout of your Payment Voucher and make payment for the sum of N15, 000 (Foundation and PreDegree) to any of the following Banks:

NOTE: The complete name of the applicant must be legibly written on the Teller (even if someone else is paying on behalf of the applicant). Applicants for Foundation Programme must indicate APFP on their Teller while applicants for Pre-Degree must indicate APPD on their Teller.
Return to your portal on mtu.edu.ng to complete your online application and print out the completed Application Form.
