Edo University 2018/2019 Post-UTME / Direct Entry Screening Application Form

This is to inform the general public and all the prospective candidates that the Edo University, Iyamho (EUI) admission screening exercise application form for both UTME and Direct Entry for the 2018/2019 academic session is now available online for sale.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Edo University, Iyamho (EUI) various DEGREE programmes for the 2018/2019 academic session.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES

PROGRAMMES O’LEVEL DIRECT ENTRY UTME SUBJECTS
B.MLS. Medical Laboratory Science Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings. (i) ‘A’ level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Zoology in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) BSc. etc in a relevant field not below Second Class lower Division
(iii) OND/HND in related courses with Credit pass plus O’ level entry requirement.
(iv) IJMB/JUPEB
Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
B.Sc. Nursing Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings. (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Zoology, Chemistry and Physics in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) BSc. etc in a relevant field not below Second Class Lower Division
(iii) NRN or its approved equivalent plus five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language and one Science subjects chosen from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, Health Science, Further Mathematics and General Science.
(iv) IJMB/JUPEB

FACULTY OF CLINICAL SCIENCES

PROGRAMMES O’LEVEL DIRECT ENTRY UTME SUBJECTS
(MB;BS) Medicine and Surgery Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at one sitting only. (i) ‘A’ level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Zoology in addition to UTME requirements.

B.Sc. Accounting Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings (i) Two ‘A’ level passes including Economics.

(iv) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects

B.Sc. Business Administration

Economics Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government. (ii) NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects.
(iii) ND/HND at credit level in related discipline
(iv) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects
Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French and CRK/IRK.
B.A. English Language Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) to include Literature in English, English Language, Mathematics and two other Arts or Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings. (i)Two ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
(ii) NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects.
(iii) ND/HND at credit level in related discipline
(iv) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects: Literature in English and any two of Religious studies, History, Government, Music, Fine Arts and French
Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.
B.A. History and International Studies Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English language, Mathematics and History/Government at not more than two sittings (i) Two A level credit passes in History/Government and any other related subject.
(ii) NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects. (iii) ND/HND at credit level in related discipline
(iv) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects
History/ Government and any other two subjects from Arts & Social science
B.Sc Mass Communication Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English language, Mathematics and any other three Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in English and any other relevant subjects.
(ii) NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects.
(iii) ND/HND at credit level in related discipline
(iv) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects
Any three Arts and Social Science subjects.
B.Sc. Political Science and Public Administration Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings > (i) Two A level passes including Government or History and one social Science subject.
(ii) ND/HND with credit passes in relevant field
(iii) NCE with a minimum of Merit in any related Social/Management Science
(iv) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects: Government, and any two of Literature in English, Economics, History and Religious studies.
(v) B.Sc. in related discipline with minimum of second class lower
Government or History plus two other Social Science/Arts subjects.

(iii) Very Good passes in JUPEB/IJMB subjects: Literature in English and any two Arts or Social Sciences

B.Sc. Biochemistry Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than two sittings (i) Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics and Biology/Botany/Zoology.
(ii)NCE/ND/HND with credit passes in related field plus UTME requirement.
(iii) A very good passes in JUPEB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics
(iv) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
B.Sc. Computer Science Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent)to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other science subjects. (i) Two A/L passes in science subjects including Mathematics. (ii) NCE with at least Merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.
(iii) OND/HND with credit passes from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirements
(iv) IJMB/JUPEB
Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agric. Science, Economics and Geography.
B.Sc. Microbiology Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than two sittings (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one from Biology, Zoology or Botany.
(ii) NCE/OND/HND with credit passes from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirements.
(iii) A very good passes in JUPEB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (iv) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

 

Edo University Post UTME Screening Exercise – General Requirements and Method of Application

(I) UTME

Admission is open to candidates who sat for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with a minimum UTME score of 160 for all Courses with the exception of Medicine and Surgery which is 200.

  1. Applicants are to complete the on-line Application Form by visiting Edo University Iyamho website at: www.edouniversity.edu.ng/admissions
  2. All applicants are required to have met Departmental minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalents at not more than two sittings. However, for Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS), the five credits (including Mathematics and English) must be obtained at one sitting only.
  3. Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
  4. All applicants will be required to go through Edo University Iyamho Screening Exercise.
  5. Interested candidates who wrote the 2018 UTME and wish to change their choice of University/Course of Study to Edo University Iyamho are required to:
    • Apply for Change of Institution through JAMB
    • Complete the Edo University Iyamho On-line Application Form
    • Participate in the Edo University Iyamho screening exercise.

 

(II) DIRECT ENTRY

All Direct Entry candidates are required to buy and process the 2018 JAMB Direct Entry Form

Edo University Iyamho accepts the following for Direct Entry Admission into 200 Level:

  1. A minimum of Merit pass in NCE, Credit in OND/HND or at least Second Class (Lower Division) in BSc. for admission into three and four-year Degree programmes.
  2. Candidates with two Advanced Level passes or its equivalent in relevant subjects.
  3. The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
  4. In addition to NCE/ND/HND/BSc/IJMB/JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each Faculty or Programme, candidates must also satisfy the O’ level requirements.

 

(III) TRANSFER CANDIDATES

Candidates will be allowed to transfer from other Universities to Edo University Iyamho, provided they meet the following conditions:

(a). Purchase and complete the prescribed Edo University Inter-University Transfer application Form online.

(b). Pass interview/Screening conducted by Edo University Iyamho.

(c). Hold the minimum entry requirements for admission into Edo University Iyamho.

(d). Ensure that the transcript of their academic records are received in the Admissions Office of Edo University Iyamho.

(e). Have a C.G.P.A. of not less than 1.5

 

APPLICATION FEE

Candidates are expected to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira ( ₦2,000) screening fee.

 

SCREENING OF CANDIDATES:

All applicants are to appear for Edo University Iyamho Screening Exercise on August 23rd, 2018..

Candidates are requested to come along with the following for the screening exercise:
(i). Edo University On-line application print out
(ii). 2018 UTME result slip
(iii). O’ Level result
(iv). Birth certificate or affidavit
(v) Application payment teller/ slip
